Privacy, terms and the pot
Three documents: what we collect and why, the terms for using Cup Season, and what the pot is.
Privacy Policy
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Cup Season is operated by Fischbeck3 LLC. This page says what we collect, why, who else touches it, and how you leave.
What we collect
- Your account. Your name, email address and handle; your marker; your city and home course if you add them; a profile photo if you choose one.
- Your golf. The rounds you post (score, course, tees, date), your handicap index and how it was set, the leagues you join and what happens in them (points, standings, board posts, comments, applause), the live games you score, and any photos you attach to a round. A photo attached to a round — a scanned scorecard included — is seen by golfers in your seasons and your buddies.
- The pot ledger. When a league keeps a pot, the amounts its Pro types: buy-ins, who has paid, payouts, and the amounts a live game records between friends. The Pro can also write a short note on how to pay them, in their own words, and that league's golfers can see it. No card or bank detail is ever asked for.
- Your device. A push token, only if you turn notifications on. Basic diagnostics — crash, hang and error reports with the phone model, system version and app build, and which screens were opened — so we can fix what breaks.
- Your contacts, only if you ask. When you tap to find friends, we check your contacts against golfers who are already here. We send one-way SHA-256 hashes of the numbers and addresses, never your contacts, and we keep nothing that doesn't match.
What we use it for
To run your account, your leagues and the standings; to send sign-in codes and league updates; to fix the app. Words you post — names, posts, comments, plans and pride bets — are checked against a list of slurs, sexual terms and threats before they go up; that check runs on our own database and sends your words to no one. We do not sell your information and we do not use it for advertising.
Who else touches it
- Supabase — the database, sign-in and storage for photos and share images.
- Netlify — hosts the web app and these pages.
- Brevo — delivers sign-in codes and season emails.
- Anthropic — reads a scorecard photo you choose to scan, and only after you agree — our server checks that your yes is on your account before any photo is sent — so the scores can be typed for you. Your photo is not used to train its models. You can turn scanning off in Settings.
- GolfCourseAPI — course names, ratings and slopes, fetched by our server; it never sees you.
- Apple — delivers notifications to the iPhone app, only if you turn them on. On the web, your browser's own push service carries them the same way.
- Google Fonts — serves the typefaces the web pages use, so it sees your IP address and browser when a page loads.
- esm.sh — delivers part of the web app's code when it loads, so it sees your IP address and browser; never what you type.
Each holds only what its job needs.
How long we keep it
While your account exists. You can delete your account yourself, on the phone or the web: open You, then Card & settings, and choose Delete my account at the bottom of Settings. Deleting removes your name, handle, photo, email, photos and share images, and the text of your posts and comments; your notifications stop and your account is closed at once. Your posted rounds stay in the leagues you played as "Former member", so standings stay true. Deleted data leaves our live database immediately, photos and share images leave storage shortly after, and our backups follow on their own rolling schedule. A few working records stay attached to the closed account's internal number, without your name, email or photo: diagnostics, feedback you sent us, your earlier handles, and reports you filed. A photo we take down for breaking the Terms leaves the app and every link to it, and is kept privately, readable only by us, as the record of what was removed for up to 90 days, then deleted. If you delete your account first, it is deleted with your other photos.

Terms of Service
Last updated: October 1, 2026
Cup Season is operated by Fischbeck3 LLC. By using it you agree to these terms.
Who can use it. You must be at least 13. A league that keeps a pot is a private arrangement between adults who know each other; see The pot below.
Your account and your scores. You are responsible for the accuracy of what you post — your scores most of all. A posted round is a fact in your leagues' records: you can delete it, and a league's Pro can rule on points with a reason everyone can read, but a round is never edited after the fact.
Your content. You keep ownership of your photos and content. You give Cup Season permission to display them where the service needs to — on your card, your leagues' boards, and the cards you choose to share.
No objectionable content, no abuse. Cup Season has zero tolerance for objectionable content and for abusive users. Don't post anything hateful, harassing, threatening, sexually explicit or violent, don't impersonate anyone, and don't use the app to bother another golfer. Text with slurs, sexual content or threats is refused before it posts. You can report any post, comment or golfer from the app. We review reports within 24 hours, take down the offending posts, comments and photos, and remove the accounts that posted them; a removed account can't sign in, post or contact anyone. Block stops a golfer from contacting you: you won't see their posts, and they can't send you requests, invites or notifications.
The app. Cup Season is provided "as is", without warranties. We may change or retire features. We may suspend or remove accounts that misuse the service or other golfers.
Disputes between golfers. Scores, points and pots are settled inside your league, by its Pro and its members. Cup Season keeps the record; it does not arbitrate.

The pot
Last updated: October 12, 2026
Cup Season is a golf league app for private groups who play real, handicapped golf together.
Cup Season keeps the ledger; the money moves between friends. Any pot shown in the app is a private arrangement among players who know each other, set up and settled by the league's organizer and its members. It is based on skill — real golf scores under a handicap — and is not a game of chance operated by Cup Season.
Cup Season does not collect, hold, transfer or distribute money, and takes no fee or cut of any pot. A league's buy-in is capped at $200 per golfer per season, and a Major's buy-in at $200 per golfer. A live game's stake is capped at $200 per point, skin, side or bank unit. Cup Season is not responsible for a league's payouts or disputes.
Apple is not a sponsor of, and is not involved in, any league or pot.
You are responsible for making sure your league complies with the laws where you play. If you are unsure whether a money pot is allowed where you live, keep your league to bragging rights.
